J.W. Burgin

Mr. J.W. Burgin passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014, at the age of 81. He was born on February 25, 1933 to the late Joe Ben Burgin and Myrtle Stocks Burgin. Mr. Burgin was a member of the First Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He retired after 42 years of working at Lone Star Steel. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline, parents, sister, Mattie Lou Rhodes, and brothers, Kenneth and Joe Dan Burgin. Survivors include his sons, Steve Burgin and wife Carolyn of Mt. Vernon, John Burgin of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
