Kathalyn M Coats

Mrs. Kathalyn McCown Coats, age 86 of Winnsboro, passed away on Monday, June 13th, 2016 in Winnsboro. She was born on July 11th, 1929 in Scroggins to the late Robert McCown and Eva Cook McCown. She was a retired receptionist, and a member of Clearwater Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bert Coats, Jr.; daughter, Sandra Lynn Huneycutt; two brothers, Paul McCown, Jack McCown; and one sister, Lillian Nash. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Coats of Winnsboro, Janet Turner and husband Michael of Quitman; sister, Melba Robertson of Lone Oak; six grandchildren, Jim Huneycutt, Jason Huneycutt, Jennifer Vanderbilt, Michael Coats, Christopher Turner, Lacey Turner; thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14th, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 15th, 2016 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro at 2:00 pm, Dr. Bill Holmes conducting, interment will follow at Clearwater Cemetery in Franklin County, with Chris Anderson, Craig Anderson, Tim Davis, Kenny Mosher, Ricky Davis and Tony Geraci serving as pallbearers.
