Katherine Margaret Armstrong (Arp)

Katherine Margaret Armstrong, beloved mother, grandmother, and devoted member of her community, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025 at the age of 90. She was born on November 16, 1934 in Copperhill, Tennessee to Frank Arp and Mamie Sparks Arp.

Katherine dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a nurse with compassion and quiet strength. She was a faithful member of Cartwright Baptist Church, where she found fellowship and spiritual comfort throughout the years. She had a deep love for the outdoors, and spent countless hours working in her yard. Katherine also enjoyed sewing, and was an avid trail rider, always embracing the simple joys of life.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Leroy Armstrong; seven brothers; one sister; and her cherished grandson, Sam McCarty.

She is survived by her daughters, Ann McCarty of Cartwright, Texas, Karla Ditto and husband Donnie of Perryville, Texas. Her legacy of kindness, strength, and love lives on through them and all who knew her.
