On Saturday August 8th, Katheryn Elizabeth (Beth) Yager, loving daughter, sister and aunt, passed away at age 64. Beth was born on May 29, 1956 in Farmers Branch, Texas to Leslie and Patty Yager. She graduated from William B Carroll special needs school in Dallas Texas. As a youth Beth’s life revolved around her frequent trips to Camp Soroptimist, a camp for special needs children and teens where she loved to dance and make friends. In 1982 Beth relocated with her parents to Mineola Texas where she enjoyed her family and friends for many years. At age 50 Beth moved to Wood Memorial Nursing Facility where she was a beloved resident and came to be known as “The Ring Queen”. She looked forward to and thoroughly enjoyed daily visits from her Dad as well as regular visits from her niece Katrina and others she cared about. Beth loved collecting jewelry, playing Yahtzee, cards, bingo and crafts. She was an expert at weaving potholders and provided her extended family with more than they could ever use. She was known for her sassy personality, headstrong attitude, and for being “One of a kind”. Beth was preceded in death by her mother, Patty Yager, and her great niece Maisyn Davis. She is survived by her father Les Yager, brothers Ray Yager, Matt Yager and wife Rachel. Nephew Lance Yager and wife Mindy, nephew Jeremy Yager, niece Katrina Davis and husband Josh, niece Lanie Yager. Great nephews Leeland, Abram, Lincoln and Willam, great nieces Rylann and Lilah Davis. Beth was an amazing person who never gave up on anything she set her mind on. Thank you to all who helped make her life just a little more special over the years. It meant the world to her.
