Kay Minter-Tomlin, age 67, died peacefully on Monday, October 15, 2012, with her family by her side at her home in Pickton, Texas. She was born in Sulphur Springs on July 29, 1945 to the late Ralph and Vernie Ruth Allison Kimmons. She graduated from East Texas State University, was a Methodist, a member of Kappa Delta, Angel Flight, The Moos, Community Bible Study, and First Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs Sunday School class. She was a high school English teacher. a wonderful mother and loving wife. Kay touched so many lives and will be missed by many. Her strong spirit and faith will live on through her children, grandchildren, former students, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her first husband, Price Minter. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Tomlin of Pickton; son, Charley Minter and wife Sunshine of Lindale; daughters, Jenny Anthony of Ponder, Deedra Bentley and husband Brad of Amarillo, Shelly Greco and husband Joe of Plano; sister, Sandra Minter of Pickton; grandchildren, Madison Hunsucker, Josie Hunsucker, Price L. Minter, Tex Minter, Barek Bentley, Paige Bentley, Nicholas Greco, Roman Greco; nephew and niece, Shannon Minter, Mikeanne Minter; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Sulphur Springs, visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM before the memorial service.
