Kenneth Joe Love

September 7, 1947 — May 2, 2026

Kenneth Joe Love, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on September 7, 1947, in Liberty Hill, Texas, Kenneth lived a life defined by hard work, love for his family, and a passion for the outdoors.

Kenneth proudly served in the US Navy during the Vietnam era and was honorably discharged in December 1968.

As an electrician by trade, Kenneth exemplified craftsmanship and dedication, providing for his loved ones with unyielding commitment. He was known for his steadfast work ethic and took tremendous pride in his contributions to both family and community.

Kenneth was a man of simple pleasures-he found great joy in riding motorcycles and caring for his cows on the ranch. His connection to the land and his love of adventure provided him with a sense of freedom. He cherished the quiet moments spent working on his property, surrounded by the beauty of nature.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Love; his children, Heather Mitchell and her husband, Heath, and Brandon Love and his wife, Lana; his cherished grandchildren, Tristan Richardson, Haylie Mitchell, Heston Mitchell, Haden Mitchell, and Atley Love; his siblings, Glenda Bell, Sue Love, Buck Love, and Lue Wilhite, along with several nieces and nephews. Each of these relationships brought Kenneth immense joy, and his legacy will carry on through them.

A Graveside Service will be held in his honor at Smyrna Cemetery on May 15, 2026, at 11:00 am. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate the life of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Kenneth will be remembered for his strength, love, and unwavering spirit. His memory will forever remain a guiding light for those who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
