Kenneth D. Nixon

Mr. Kenneth Nixon, age 79 of Winnsboro, passed away on Friday, September 9th, 2016 in Winnsboro. He was born on July 9th, 1937 in Ingleside, TX, to the late William "Wilburn" Nixon and Jessie Flinn Nixon. He was retired from Pioneer Chemical Company and the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Nixon was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Laverne Griffin. He is survived by, his wife of 56 years, Joyce Dean Hooten Nixon of Winnsboro; sons, Kenneth Dean Nixon and wife Gena of Garland, Christopher Hollis Nixon of Winnsboro, David Thomas Moore of Denton; daughters, Kristie Doreen Langley and husband William of Winnsboro, Diana Joyce Wright and husband Daniel of Dallas, Hanah Noel Breck Moore of Winnsboro, Hailee Nicole Nixon of Winnsboro; brothers, Don Loyd Nixon of Dallas, Charles Ray Nixon of Rockport; sisters, Charlene Clinton of Houston and Lela Mae Cassels Forrest of Canton; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 14th, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 15th, 2016 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Perry Shirley conducting, interment will follow at Sharon Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Shane, Jarret, Clint, Natthan Colby, Matt, Hunter, Briar serving as pallbearers, and Kenneth Dean Nixon, and David Thomas Moore as honorary.
