Kenneth Paul Richey

Mr. Kenneth Paul Richey, age 86 of Mineola, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Tyler. He was born on June 2, 1934 in Mineola to the late Homer Richey and Gladys Thompson Richey. Mr. Richey was a retired Truck Driver, member of New Hope Baptist Church and pianist for Smith Chapel United Methodist Church and served two years stateside in the US Army. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, David and Troy Warren. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty Richey of Mineola; son, Douglas Richey and wife LeeAnn of Westville, Oklahoma; daughter, Carla McClanahan and husband Mark of Van; brother, Larry Richey and wife June of Mineola; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren, special family friend Ashtyn Hand and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home 5320 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 3rd, 2021 at New Hope Baptist 3855 FM 1801 Mineola, Texas 75773 at 2:00 pm with Billy Clyde Carter, Michael Mize and Jim Pickens conducting, interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Mineola. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the New Hope Cemetery, 2112 FM 2422, Mineola Texas 75773.
