Kenneth Jack Slayton, 58, of Mineola gained his wings Friday afternoon September 24, 2021. He passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his daughters. Kenny was born in Dallas, Tx on October 11, 1962 to Kenneth and Delores Slayton. He graduated from Mineola High school in 1981 where he met a lot his lifelong friends. Kenny Jack was a loving father and grandfather who gave his all to his family. He was his daughters biggest supporter and everyone’s favorite story teller. He was the true definition of a hard working man and was always patient and kind. The hole left by his absence will be an impossible one to fill. From a very young age his father instilled a one of a kind work ethic that was carried out through the Slayton Dirt family company. He spent most of his time playing in the dirt whether it was building one of a kind house pads or coaching softball. In addition to being a dedicated and loving father he was also a true believer of the Lord. Left to cherish his memory is his four daughters Sheyene Hass of Mineola; Jade Bowden and husband Luke Bowden of Mineola; Erin House of Palestine; and Lindsay Green of Longview along with his four legged companion the golden doodle Teddy Slayton. He loved many but it’s safe to say his pride and joy were his grandkids Rylee and Gracie Hass, William and Kathryn Bowden, Eli Burke, Jackson House and Rhett Monroe along with his two sisters Renae Blalock of Mineola and Kim Boyd and husband Hunter Boyd of Longview and his brother Kyle Slayton and wife Kim Slayton of Nashville Arkansas along with many other nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. He greets in heaven his loving Father Kenneth Ray Slayton and Mother Delores Ann Slayton of Mineola and brother-in-law Ronald Blalock of Mineola. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, September 27, 2021 from 6 - 8 PM at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola. Funer service will be on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola officiated by Bro. Mike Midkiff.
