Kenneth Slayton

Kenneth Slayton, age 78, died Thursday, October 10, 2013 in Mineola, Texas. He was born on Tuesday, September 24, 1935 in Wood County, Texas to the late Charlie and Helen Slayton. Mr. Slayton worked for SWEPCO for several years. He also owned Slayton Dirt Contractors sine 1977.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Slayton.

He is survived by his wife Dolores; two sons, Kenny Slayton and wife Tonya of Mineola, Texas, Kyle Slayton and wife Kim of Nashville Arkansas; two daughters, Renae Blalock and husband Ronald of Mineola, Texas, Kim Boyd and husband Hunter of Longview, Texas.

Visitation for Mr. Slayton will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, Texas from 2-3 PM.

Memorial services will be held at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 3:00 PM with Billy Cooper and Jamie Trussell officiating. In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to the “Project Life Savers”, C/O Mineola Pilot Club, P O Box 3, Mineola, TX 75773.
