As a child, Kerry attended church faithfully and was saved and baptized at the age of nine-an important moment that shaped his lifelong love for Jesus. From an early age, he found joy in the outdoors. He was an excellent swimmer and loved fishing, and he discovered a deep appreciation for growing things while helping his father in the garden.

He also had many cousins which include: Lana,Teresa, David, Susan, Nancy, Don, Billy, Shirley who visited and supported him lovingly during his last final months. Also many friends showed support and love.
Kerry lived a life marked by hard work, curiosity, laughter, and a quiet but steady spirit. A lifelong truck driver, he traveled cross-country for many years and hauled everything from milk and gas to oilfield parts and ice cream. He also drove a school bus for his Winnsboro School district. He worked as a painter in Tyler, managed a convenience store in his younger days, and owned a junk store in Winnsboro, Texas with his brother Mark.
No matter where life took him, Kerry always returned to the things he loved: raising chickens, planting a garden and spending time with family. He enjoyed board games-especially chess, at which he was a true genius. He loved playing cards and continued to play pool in a local league up until he was no longer able to drive. Adventurous by nature, he was always the first to try something and the first to lend a hand.
Kerry loved his family deeply, loved Jesus wholeheartedly, and lived a quiet courage that inspired those around him. His presence, humor, intelligence, and gently spirit will be profoundly missed.
A visitation and service will be held on November 21 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro, Texas.
