Mrs. Kimberly Kay Kapsner, age 45 of Mt. Vernon, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2012 at her home, with her family at her side. She was born on October 10, 1967 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Eugene and Sandra Talberg Secord. Kimberly worked as a logistics analyst, landscape architect and homemaker. She loved spending time outdoors, gardening, and playing vintage video games, and card games. She was a Catholic and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon. She is preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Teresa Kapsner. She is survived by her husband, Stephen A. Kapsner of Mt. Vernon; father, Gene Secord of Princeton, MN.; mother, Sandy Talberg-Secord of Princeton, MN.; brothers, Jason Secord and wife Lisa of Minneapolis, MN., Erik Secord and wife Ashlee of Burnsville, MN., Hank Secord and wife Lupita of Dallas; father-in-law, Charles L. Kapsner; brother-in-law, Richard Allen Kapsner and wife Cari, Douglas Edward Kapsner; numerous nieces and nephews; special friend, Nina Biddle-Rose, and beloved pets, Oscar, Remington, and Jimmy D.
Arrangements are being handled by BEATY FUNERAL HOME 816 W. Broadway, Winnsboro, TX where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, November 18, 2012. Funeral service will be at St. Ann Catholic Church at 11:30 AM, Monday, November 19, 2012, Father Ambrose Chinnappa officiating. Interment will be at St. Ann Catholic Cemetery, Winnsboro, TX.
