Larry Wayne Arrington

Larry Wayne Arrington, age 63 of Winnsboro, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010 at his home with his family at his side. He was born in Pittsburg on October 9, 1946 to the late Alton and Mildred Black Arrington. He was a 1965 graduate from Winnsboro High School, where he is remembered for his play on the football field. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a carpet salesman for L.D. Brinkman, and later owned The Carpet Shop for many years. He also owned a produce stand along with his father's grocery store, Arrington Grocery. He will be remembered for being a very likeable, funny and sweet person. He was very much a people person and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Sandra Arrington Marsh. He is survived by his wife, Loretta McCleskey-Arrington of Winnsboro, daughter, April Arrington of Dallas ;son, Eric Arrington and wife Shanna of Winnsboro, TX,, brothers, Ronald Arrington and wife Frances of Winnsboro, TX, Billy Arrington and wife Patty of Winnsboro, TX, Jet Arrington and wife Linda of Winnsboro, TX ., David Arrington and wife Jacquie of Winnsboro, TX, sister, Carolyn Weems of Winnsboro, TX.; stepsons, Cliff McCleskey and wife Shelley of Midland, TX, Clint McCleskey and wife Tammy of Lubbock, Brent McCleskey and wife Jennifer of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Chance and Ethan Arrington, Gerrod, Warren, Genatta, and Josh McCleskey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
