Larry Andrew Boren

Larry Andrew Boren, age 75 of Winnsboro, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Trinity Mission-Health and Rehab. Larry was born on October 31, 1938 in Leakey, TX., to the late John Samuel Boren, Sr., and Alpha Marie (Large) Boren. He worked as a ranch foreman in New Braunfels on the Dean Word Ranch for 15 years, from 1962 to 1979. They then moved to Bee Branch, AR., where he was a rancher for the next 30 years. He then retired to Winnsboro in 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Sharon Boren of Winnsboro; son, Cody Boren and wife Elizabeth of Coppell; three grandchildren, Katie Boren of Boston, Ma., Emma Boren of Coppell, and Clair Boren of New York City, NY.; Larry is also survived by two sisters, Barbara La Montagne and husband Leo of Leakey, Eileen McCaleb of Sterling City; sister-in-law, Emily Hall of Winnsboro, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Services are shceduled for Monday, June 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Smyrna Baptist Church, Wood County; Bro. David Hendricks officiating, Inurnment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery, Wood County.
