Larry Don Rushing, age 61, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Mineola, Texas. He was born on Thursday, September 14, 1950 in Tyler, Texas to the late Hershal and Martha Chrisine Rushing. He was an Oil Field Worker and an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing and more especially his family. Larry was always smiling and happy. A true family man who adored watching his grandkids play. They called him "Big Daddy". He was truly one of a kind, a rarity. He touched the hearts of everyone he met.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Paul Rushing and Terry Rushing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Linnie Rushing; three sons, Jason Todd Rushing II and wife Victoria of Mineola, Justin Paul Rushing and wife Andrea of Texarkana, Texas, Joshua Ryan Rushing and wife Pamela of Mineola; a brother, Jimmy Rushing and wife Nita of Mineola; and seven grandchildren, Ian Ross, Stratton Don, Laila Grace, Zoe Jane, Trey Boy, Mea Hope and Shyli Jane.
