Laura Jane Lamm

Laura Jane Lamm, a beloved member of Winnsboro, passed away on January 19, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, dedication, and a profound love for family. Born on August 16, 1958, in Pittsburg, Texas, Laura was the daughter of L.J. Jordan and Pat Mitcham Jordan.

Janie dedicated 27 years of her life to serving the community as Deputy Clerk for Hunt County, Texas. Her commitment and hard work left a lasting impact, earning her the respect and gratitude of those she worked with and served.

While Janie’s professional accomplishments were noteworthy, her true joy came from her family and the precious moments spent with them. She was a loving and devoted mother to her daughters, Jennifer Baker of Winnsboro, Jordan Baker of Lindale, and Bonus Son Anwar Singleton of Winnsboro. Laura's sisters, Debra Jordan of Winnsboro and Vickie Monday and her husband, David of Winnsboro, shared a close bond with her throughout their lives.

Janie’s role as a grandmother brought immense happiness to her life. She adored her grandchildren, Payton, Malik, Elizabeth, Madison, and Skyler. Janie’s eyes would light up with joy as she always went along with any adventures her grandchildren planned, creating cherished memories that will forever be etched in their hearts.

In addition to her immediate family, Janie is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by her kindness and generosity.

Janie will be remembered as a dedicated public servant, a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and a cherished friend. Her legacy of unconditional love, kindness, and community spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
