Lavinia Smith

Mrs. Lavinia Dee (Coburn) Smith, age 66, of Tyler, Texas, died Saturday, August 16, 2008, at Hospice Homeplace in Tyler. Mrs. Smith was employed in Tyler all of her life and was an avid piano player, loved music and played piano almost all her life, recording duets with her late husband Ray Smith. She was born in Mineola to the late John Preston and Ida Shelton Coburn and was also preceded in death by one son, Joseph Preston Starnes.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tina M. Vega of Tyler, Texas, Marilyn G. Durham of Hawkins, Texas; one sister,

Clara Bridges of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren and one preat grandchild.
