Lee Roy Goodson

Lee Roy Goodson, Jr., died Thursday, March 1st, 2012- surrounded by his family and friends. He was a Grandson, Son, Brother, Cousin, Uncle, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather and a Great Friend. He loved to be with his Family.

He was born in Cleveland, Texas on Sunday, January 12th, 1947 to the late Lee Roy Goodson, Sr. and Ora Mae Summerall. He grew up in Splendora, Texas with two sisters and one brother.

He met the love of his life, Beverly Jean Rogerson in 1963. They were married on Saturday, August 14th. 1965 and two years later started their family, with the birth of his little girl April in 1967, Brent in 1969 and Jason in 1974. He was a devoted husband and a great father. The hardest working man I ever knew.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lee Roy Sr. and Ora Mae Goodson and a sister Shirley Everitt.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Beverly Goodson; children April Neely and husband Dennis, Brent Goodson and wife Chandra and Jason Goodson and wife Kathy;

grandchildren Justin Neely and wife Danielle, Courtney Hoppenjans and husband Josh, Matthew Neely and wife Bethany, Taylor Goodson, Dylan Kastelic, Claire Goodson, Dallas Kastelic, Darby Kastelic, Zoe Goodson, Lucy Goodson, Iris Goodson, Tripp Goodson (Lee Roy III) and Hazel Goodson; Great Grandchildren, Evelyn Neely and Adeline Neely; a sister Sandra Schramme and husband Mack, a brother Lonnie Goodson and wife Debbie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
