Lee C. Johnson

Lee C. Johnson, age 86 of Como, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2009 in Sulphur Springs. He was born in Wood County on April 13, 1923 to the late, Henry, Sr. and Ruth Holmes Johnson. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II, was a mason, and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was a retired carpenter, and retired from the Como-Pickton ISD. He was married to Neoma Hill on January 12, 1946 in Ft. Worth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Neoma Johnson on December 9, 1994; also preceding him were, son, Ronald Johnson, sister, Reba Russell, brothers, Thomas and Henry "Junior" Johnson, and great-grandson, Shawn Martin. He is survived by sons, Donald Johnson and wife Linda of Rhonesboro, Lee Johnson, Jr. and wife Rebecca of Lubbock; daughter, Lillian Martin of Como; brothers, Hollis Johnson and wife Mary of Blue Mound, Glenn Johnson and wife Bonnie of Springtown, Milton Johnson and wife Janet of Springtown; sisters, Edna Moore of Brock, Mary Gagnon and husband Phil of Honduras; ten grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.
