Leon Mccarty

Mr. Leon McCarty of Mineola, Texas passed away February 10, 2007 at the age of 88. He was born October 18, 1918 to the late Thomas Nathan McCarty and to the late Lena Mae (Robinson) McCarty in Louisville, Tennessee. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He had lived in Mineola for 23 years and prior to that had lived in South Carolina. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mineola. He worked for the Sunkist Lemon Plant in California for 27 years and then worked for General Electric in South Carolina for 13 years. He is preceded in death by three brothers. He is survived by wife of 50 years, Mrs. Mollie McCarty of Mineola, Texas and one son, Kenneth Ray Taylor of Nacogdoches, Texas.
