Lera M. Shamburger Parker passed away peacefully at the age of 91 in her home on May 19, 2022. Lera was born on September 9, 1930, in Winnsboro Texas to Claude and Allie Shamburger. She was raised in Winnsboro and graduated from Winnsboro High School. She had three loves of her life who all preceded her in death. She was married twenty-nine years to C.M. “Bid” Bellomy and raised five children. She was later married to Pete Peterson for four years. Her last love was Carl Parker who she was married to for eighteen years.
Lera was a homemaker who loved yard work and gardening. Above all, she loved to cook. Her pies and cakes were amazing! You would never leave hungry when you came to visit. She was always very kind and loved her family. She loved to drink black coffee and watch Texas Rangers Baseball.
Lera and Bid had five children, two of whom preceded her in death, Ralph Bellomy and Janice Bellomy Waddell. Her children left to honor her memory include her son Reynolds Bellomy of Winnsboro, daughter Allice Bellomy of Ft. Worth and son Claude Bellomy of Winnsboro.
Lera was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Ricky Bellomy, Ralph Christopher Bellomy, Lorene DeLeon, Barbara Robson, Tina Bellomy, Jack Raley, Dakota Raley, and the late Stephen Bellomy. She was double blessed with 14 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Nub Brown officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you give from the heart to the charity of your choice in memory of them mom Lera Parker.
