Lillian Catherine Kukendall

Lillian Christine Kuykendall, age 87, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 in Quitman, Texas. She was born on Monday, July 13, 1925 in Dickens, Texas to the late Luther and Ruby Thornton. She started LVN Nursing School at Mineola General Hospital and was the Director of Nurses for 20 years in Grand Saline, Texas. She worked as an RN until 2011.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

She is survived by a son, James Kuykendall and wife JJ of Conroe, Texas; three daughters, JoAnn Moreland and husband Vernon of Frost, Texas, Jayne Lankford of Mineola, Texas and Joyce Thomas also of Mineola; five grand children and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Broad Street Church of Christ in Mineola on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 7:00 PM with Bro. Steve Nevells officiating.
