It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Gail Bain, born on November 13, 1957, in Port Lavaca, Texas, who left us peacefully on April 19, 2026, at the age of 68. Linda was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her warmth and presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Linda grew up in a close-knit family and is survived by her father, James McLemore and his wife, Melinda; her brother, Ron McLemore and his wife, Sandy; sister, Jeanette Curtis; and her son, Jason Jones. She also delighted in the joys of grand-parenthood, leaving behind her granddaughter, Danielle Ford and her husband, Justin, and great-grandchildren, Dakota and Josie Ford.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Bain; her mother, Mary McLemore; her son, Steven Jones; her brother, Donald McLemore; and her sister, Brenda McLemore.
For many years, Linda devoted herself to serving her community through her role in civil service with the U.S. government. Her caring nature extended far beyond her work; she was a longtime member of the Winnsboro Pilot Club, where she made lasting friendships and contributed to the well-being of those around her. Linda had a zest for life, and one of her favorite places to visit was Colorado to spend time with family.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate Linda's life and share their memories in a series of events to honor her legacy. A visitation on April 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM. A funeral service will then commence on the same day at 2:00 PM, also at Beaty Funeral Home.
As we reflect on Linda's life, we will remember her kindness, her love for family, and her adventurous spirit. She touched many lives, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. In celebrating her journey, let us honor the joy she brought to our lives.
