Linda Jewel Barrett, born on January 9, 1952, in Houston, Texas, to William and Jewel Robinson, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, in Winnsboro, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.
In 1970, Linda married the love of her life, Lonnie Barrett, embarking on a journey of love, joy, and faith. Together, they built a life centered around their family, their community, and their devotion to the Lord.
Linda’s kind heart and generous spirit were evident to all who knew her. She was always quick to lend a helping hand, serving as the chairperson for the local Toy Drive and as an active member of the Chamber of Commerce. A long-time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Quitman, Texas, Linda lived her faith daily and found joy in helping others.
In addition to her community service, Linda had a variety of passions. She loved sewing, studying history, and diving into family genealogy, preserving her family's legacy for future generations.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Lonnie Barrett; her sons, Travis Barrett, Daniel Barrett, and Caleb Barrett (Haley); her daughters, Melody Carroll (Scott), Angela Speakman (Ben), and Joyce Heggins (Sam); her brothers, William Robinson Jr. and Eric Robinson; her sister, Janet Gieseke; and her many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.
Linda’s life was a testament to love, kindness, and faith. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
