Linda Lea Fisk, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished friend, was born on March 26, 1940, in Borger, Texas. She peacefully passed away on September 24, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 86, leaving behind a legacy of love and creativity.

Linda dedicated many years to being a devoted wife and mother, building a nurturing home filled with warmth and laughter. Her love for her children, Kevin, Kim, and Kurt was the cornerstone of her life, and she took immense pride in being a mother and grandmother. Her spirit shone brightest in the moments she shared visiting with her family and friends. Linda always had an infectious little giggle and a twinkle in her eyes, and could often be heard happily humming a tune.

Linda had a passion for the arts, which included her love of painting with watercolors, needlepoint, quilting and singing. She expressed her creativity through her hands, creating beautiful pieces that brought joy to others.

In the late 1980's Linda and her husband bought land and built a home in Mineola, Texas. Linda was instrumental in getting a grant to begin the Mineola League of the Arts, which she presided over as president for 3 years. The League organized a kid's camp with a different theme each summer for several years.

Linda was also involved in the theater arts, and she helped design costumes and sets and even acted in a couple of plays at the Lake Country Playhouse in Mineola.

Linda assisted her husband Aubrey teaching Right of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) for eighteen years at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Mineola where they were members.

After her husband's death in late 2021, Linda moved to Discovery Village in Fort Worth, Texas. Within months, she expressed she had found the perfect place-one where she felt more like herself than she had in years. She experienced a true sense of belonging and it felt like home. Linda attended church services, sang in the choir, and enjoyed playing games such as Mahjong and Farkle with friends. Linda formed wonderful friendships at Discovery Village and shared many joyful moments with those dear, sweet friends. She was extremely happy in the last years of her life.

In reflecting upon her life, we remember Linda not only for her artistic talents but also for her generous heart and unwavering spirit. She showed all who knew her the importance of family, community and connection, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Fisk, and her parents, (Athrel) Bud Calkins and (Charlotte) Marion Calkins.

Linda is survived by her son Kevin Fisk of Dallas, Texas, daughter Kim Newbrough and husband Jake of Rowlett, Texas, and son Kurt Fisk and wife Dianna of North Richland Hills, Texas; five grandchildren, Nathan Flach (Jackie), Stephanie Frei (Thomas), Ashley Westmoreland (Aaron), Justin Fisk (Kylei) and Natasha Holvey (Matt); twelve great-grandchildren, Michael, Andrea, Matthew, Aubrey, Ariel, Phoebe, Jase, Emerson, Kane, Hemsworth, Hudson and Addison.

A visitation will be held in Linda's honor at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel in Mineola on October 9, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at Beaty Funeral Home on October 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM, where Linda will be laid to rest next to her husband and parents.

Linda's light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she loved and through the joyous memories that will forever live in their hearts. She will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
