Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister Linda Louise Johnson of Quitman, Texas, received her crown in heaven on February 12, 2022. She was born on May 16, 1945, in Joplin, Missouri, to the late Benjamin Paul Cousatte and Margie Louise (Lasley). Linda was of the Baptist faith and all knew she had a great relationship with God and her Savior Jesus Christ. Ms. Johnson took care of many children in Mineola and Grand Saline for close to 25 years. She fed, cleaned, and loved them as if they were her own. The 1990's saw Linda behind the wheel of a big rig driving goods around the country. Linda most importantly loved her family with all her heart. She had a very close bond with her 4 sisters Paula, Janie, Susie, and Donna that permeated the atmosphere. Extraordinary is all everyone could say about that bond. Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a brother Benjamin James Cousatte. She is survived by her sons Jimmie Ellis and wife Gaila, Jeremy Whitson and wife Amy; daughters Angela Ellis, Tracie Pearson and husband Ricky; 13 grandchildren Jeffrey Boyd, Timmothy Boyd, Joshua Ellis, Sarah Lathey, Emily-Anne Joachin, Lana Whitson, Tristin Whitson, Kaleb Whitson, Ashtun Whitson, Ian Whitson, Lindzay Pearson, Brettney Callan, and Tanner Pearson; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters Paula Madrid and husband Earl, Janie Gibbins and husband Tom, Susie Sowder, Donna Oakley and husband Alan. A private family service will be held at a later date. Our hearts are broken she's gone but her memory and love will never leave us.
