Celebrating a Loving Life
of Linda Blundell Schwen
Linda B. Schwen, a resident of Winnsboro, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ early Friday morning, February 25, 2011, at the age of 68. She was born in Dallas, Texas on April 12, 1942, to the late Marvin and Lois Blundell; she was semi-retired from Clements Realtors of Winnsboro where she enjoyed twenty-two years of service to the community. Linda worked very hard as a Real Estate agent and made many friends along the way. One of her many achievements was winning the 1998 Wood County Realtor of the Year. An earlier honor was being voted Autumn Trails Queen III in 1962.
Linda married Jerry H. Schwen on August 8, 1981. Linda chose to -be a Baptist by denomination and placed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Master. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, Winnsboro and dearly loved her Winsome Sunday School Class. One of Linda's greatest joys was spending time with her family which included her husband - Jerry, sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family. She had many interests which included working with arts and crafts. Her trademark was the butterfly and she enjoyed spending time outside and working in her flower beds. A good Bible verse to describe Linda is John 15:13 - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Jerry H. Schwen of Winnsboro; sons and daughters: John Denton and children, Kayla and Cody; Joel Denton and daughter Josie; Jack Schwen and wife Lois and children, James Schwen and wife Sheree and their son Wyatt, Jacob, Grace, Joshua and Faith Schwen; Jerry "JJ'1 Schwen and children, Robert, Brianna and Matthew; Vicki Hofert; Jeff Schwen and wife Donna and children, Levi Johnson and, wife Katie and their daughters Chloe and Alice; Chris Schwen and wife Morgan and Travis Schwen; sister, Joann Hunt and husband Ray; brothers, Marvin Blundell and wife Mamie and Benny Blundell and wife Sandy. Linda, known as wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt and friend was a huge blessing and will be sorely missed.
