Linda Joy Turk

December 7, 1939 — October 11, 2024

Linda Joy Turk, affectionately known as "Nana" to her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on December 7, 1939, in Wood County, Texas, to Lloyd Sanders and Onnie Wheeler Sanders.


After completing high school, Linda pursued higher education earning her licenses in phlebotomy & cosmetology. She went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career with Hallmark Greeting Cards, retiring after decades of dedicated service.


Linda's greatest joys in life came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a deep love for reading, movies and traveling and cherished every moment she spent surrounded by loved ones.


She was married to Wayne Robert Turk, and together they raised a beautiful family. Linda was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Wayne Turk, and her brother, Paul Sanders and her husband, Wayne.


Linda is survived by her two daughters, Donna Hayes and her husband David of Longview, and Jenny Rowell and her husband Keith of Longview. Her legacy continues through her five grandchildren: Amanda, Savannah, Megan, Morgan, and Glen, as well as six great-grandchildren: Keelyn, Peyton, Evan, Delaney Joy, Kairi, and Olivia.


Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
