Lonnie L. Lanier

Mr. Lonnie L. Lanier, age 92 of Winnsboro, passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 in Winnsboro. Lonnie was born in Palestine on April 26, 1922 to the late Davis Monroe and Amanda Maude Huntsberger Lanier. Lonnie served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked in the Oil Industry for Mitchell Energy Corp.; and attended First Assembly of God in Winnsboro. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lester Lee Lanier, Leslie Leland Lanier; one sister, Laura "Billie" Tharp; he is survived by his loving wife, Marie Lanier of Winnsboro; sons, Johnnie Lanier and wife Mary Ann of Winnsboro, Rickie Lanier and wife Gaile of Longview; six grandchildren, Chad, Heather, Clacy, Katrina, Amanda, Ricia; seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; three nieces, Leann, Tommie Ann, Carol Ann; and two nephews, Orville and Casey.
