Louie Bell Dale

Louie Bell Dale, age 92 of Winnsboro, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008 in Telephone, Texas. She was born outside of Winnsboro on August 25, 1915 to the late Tom and Katie Driggers Porter. She was a retired inspector for the Collins Radio Company. She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church, were she served as secretary of her Sunday school class and on the Hospitality Committee. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Jeffie Dale on September 9, 1979; as well as two sisters, Flossie Head, and Veda Lavender. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Floyd Thornton of Telephone; son, Jerry Dale of Emory; sisters, Daisy Sharer of Winnsboro, Elsie Martin of Forney; four grandchildren, Brenda McCraw of Telephone, Ronnie Thornton of Houston, Diana Green of Tomball, Sophia Dyson of Bonham; eleven great-grandchildren, Bo McCraw, Bryan McCraw, Ryan Thornton, Biff Thornton, Trace Thornton, Chad Thornton, Andrew Green, Austin Green, Corey Green, Lora Dyson, Jon Dyson; three great-great-grandchildren, Coleman McCraw, Clayton McCraw, and Allyson McCraw. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 12, 2008 from 6 to 8pm at Beaty Funeral Home of Winnsboro; Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 3:30 pm at Beaty Funeral Home, interment will follow at Lee Cemetery in Winnsboro. Pallbearers will be, Bo McCraw, Bryan McCraw, Ryan Thornton, Biff Thornton, Trace Thornton, Chad Thornton. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Austin and Corey Green, and Jon Dyson.
