Louis Bryant Barnes

Louis Bryant Barnes, age 75, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in Tyler, Texas. He was born on Friday, July 31, 1936 in Dallas, Texas to the late John Jay and Jo Tucker Barnes. He worked as a salesman for Western Paper Company for twenty-three years retiring in 1989.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John Barnes.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Lois Kay Witmer Barnes of Mineola, Texas; two sons, Russell Jay and wife Sue of Golden, Texas and Stephen Bryan and Candy Ash of Avery, Texas; four grandchildren, Lloyd Barnes and wife Laura of Grand Saline, Texas, Shannon Barnes of Mineola, Melissa Barnes of Dallas and Senior Airman USAF Jonathan Barnes and wife Brittney of Anchorage, Alaska; five great-grandchildren; and cousin Ben Neely.

Funeral services for Mr. Barnes will be held at Beaty Funeral Home's Memorial Chapel in Mineola on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Charles Long officiating.

Interment will be at English Cemetery in Avery, Texas following the funeral service.
