Loyd James Bennett

Mr. Loyd James Bennett, age 88 of Winnsboro, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at his home. Loyd was born in Wood County on December 2, 1925 to the late Everett E. and Lila Bell Holland Bennett. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II, was retired from the trucking industry, and of the Assembly of God Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, five brothers; sons-in-law, Ronnie Krantz, and Larry Joyner; and daughter-in-law, Linda Nell Bennett. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Mrs. Talma (Attaway) Bennett of Winnsboro; son, James of Winnsboro; daughters, Jo Ann Joyner of Winnsboro, Sue Russell and husband Jimmy of Garland, Carolyn Favors and husband Sherman of Waskom, Ramona Krantz of Winnsboro; brother, Haskell Bennett of Como, MS.; sister, Claudine Rust of Greenville; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
