Loyd Don Roach

Loyd Roach was born to the late E.A. and Ollie Gill Roach on February 1, 1937. Loyd went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 25, 2022.

Loyd grew up in Yantis, TX and joined the US Army in 1959 into the 182nd Airborne as a paratrooper. He was an expert marksman and ranked #1 in Europe. Loyd met the love of his life Bobbie Ruth Cobb, and they were married on May 20, 1958. Loyds greatest love and accomplishment in life was being a Pastor at Pleasant Divide Baptist Church in Yantis, TX. Loyd was born again in June 1964 and surrendered to preach July 25, 1970. He was ordained to the ministry on December 31, 1972. He retired from the ministry in 2014.

He is preceded in death by his parents, all his siblings and his daughter in law, Lori Roach. He is survived by five children: Darel and Angie Roach of Sulphur Springs, TX, Lewis Roach of Quitman, TX, Wayne and Carla Scott of Quitman, TX, Scott and Connie Gee of Woodville, TX, Jeff and Elizabeth Lewis of Quitman, TX, and thirteen grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
