Mable Lee Evans Altmeyer

Mable Lee Evans Altmeyer, age 74, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in Tyler, Texas. She was born on Wednesday, September 28, 1938 in Hawkins, Texas to the late William and Sallie Evans. She was an assembly line worker for Texas Instruments and a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David; a daughter, LouAnna; and a sister, Myra Evans.

She is survived by a son, Tim Altmeyer of Chicago, Illinois; three brothers, Charles F. Evans and wife Rita of Odessa, Texas, Jesse Evans and wife Lois of Lake Dallas, Texas, and Johnny Evans and wife Judy of Tomball, Texas; four sisters, Nelwin Hall of Dallas, Texas, Ruth Evans of Quitman, Texas, Jean McLain and husband Jim of Lake Dallas, Texas, and Nettie Lanham and husband James of Arp, Texas; two grandchildren, Anthony Goodner and wife Kristen and Rebecca Bailey; and two great-grandchildren, Randy and Adam Cornett.

A graveside service will be held at Turner Cemetery in Mineola, Texas on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Sherman Mayfield officiating.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of East Texas.
