Malcolm Eugene Bass, 73, of Yantis, TX died on Monday, January 20, 2014. He was born on Friday, December 20, 1940 to the late Malcolm Leroy and Ruby Pearl Bass.

He is preceded in death by one brother. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Mary Bass of Yantis, TX; son, Marshall (Marty) Bass of TX; two daughters, Michelle (Shelley) Bass of TX, and Danielle Bass of Alba, TX; step-son; Gary Moore and wife Candace of Nacogdoches, TX; step-daughter, Lisa Haight and husband Richard of Austin,TX; numerous grandchildren and two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; one aunt, Laverne Bass of Houston, TX.

Funeral service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Quitman on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 11:00 AM officiated by Rev. Dick White.
