Marcus Randolph McCalla, age 81, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in Mineola, Texas. He was born on Monday, July 22, 1929 in Mineola to the late Marcus and Anna McCalla.

He was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Mineola and served in the United States Army. He was retired from Benham & Company where he worked for 43 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Billy Gene McCalla, Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Emma McCalla; a daughter, Verlinda McCalla, a son Marcus McCalla III; a grandson Marcus Garrett McCalla; a grand daughter, Emma Brianne McCalla; and an aunt, Jewel McCalla.

Visitation will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 6 - 8 PM.

Funeral services will be held at Beaty Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11:00AM with Rev. Demethruis Boyd officiating.

Interment will be at Mineola City Cemetery.
