Margaret Ellen Judah, 95, of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025. She was born on December 14, 1929, in Hartford, Alabama, to Richmond and Bessie Alberson.
On May 9, 1951, Margaret married the love of her life, Lewie Judah, and together they built a beautiful life centered around family and faith. She worked as a seamstress for Van Heusen for many years until her retirement. A talented and loving woman, "Nana" as many would come to call her, found great joy in making clothing for her loved ones, walking, playing games like Uno, and solving crossword puzzles. She was also a wonderful cook, known for preparing meals that brought family and friends together. Above all, she had a deep love for the Lord and cherished every moment with her family.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Dianne Carr and husband Jim; sisters, Linda Brannon and husband Jim, Vonzene Hand, and Doris Faulk; grandchildren, Julie Thomas and husband Justin, Melody Browning and husband Leon, Don Carr and wife Allie, and Troy Carr and wife Tina; and great-grandchildren, Breanna Irby, Elaina Browning, Gage Vaughn, Cheyenne Vaughn, Christopher Carr, Alania Carr, Tiffany Carr, and Tabitha Carr.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lewie Judah; parents, Richmond and Bessie Alberson; daughter, Janice Vaughan; brother, James Alberson; and grandson, Kevin Vaughan.
Margaret’s kindness, warmth, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
