She passed away on March 10, 2021 in Mineola, TX. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Lee Phillips, July 28, 1957. They had been married for 63 years. They were blessed with two daughters and a son. The joy of her life was her family, her loving husband of 63 years, and Southern Gospel Music. She always had a smile on her face and loved meeting people, she never met a stranger. She loved to travel anywhere even if it was just to Costco. She also had a love for food, especially Mexican food, and enjoyed baking, …her most famous pound cake was loved by all. She was a loving and compassionate pastor’s wife, a great companion, and faithful to her commitments. She was currently a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Arlington, TX., where she was loved by everyone. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry L. Phillips, three children, Vickie Sue Phillips (Tony) of Garland, TX, Lisa Sutton (Barry) of Elysian Fields, TX and Jerry “Bubba” Phillips (Hope) of Quitman, TX., brothers Kenneth Riddle of Italy, TX and Harold Riddle of Eustis, FL. Seven grandchildren, Lee Glidewell, Daniel Glidewell, Michelle (Jim) McIntosh, Heath (Cindy) Sutton, Bryan Sutton, Heather (Adrian) Salazar, and Cody (Brittany) Sutton, and thirteen greatgrandchildren. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply with her infectious smile, kind and compassionate spirit. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Lois Riddle and sister, Wanna Jean Mathers. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Texas Baptist Home for Children, Waxahachie, Texas, and/or Traditions Home Health Care, Tyler, Texas. The Care Team had become like family and they all loved Mrs. Phillips, and they were dearly loved by her.
