Margery Vivine Walker

Margery Vivine Walker, age 92, died Friday, November 11, 2011 in Mineola, Texas. She was born on Monday, October 20, 1919 in Garden Valley, Texas to the late Mack and Ida Norris, and at 5 months moved to the Rosehill Community where she lived until she finished school. She married her High School Sweetheart, Olen Cody and lived in Dallas. He passed away in 1975. She married Kenneth Walker. She retired from Dallas Power and Light and moved back to Mineola in 1994. Kenneth passed away in 2008.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband of 37 years, Olen Cody and her second husband of 28 years, Kenneth Walker; three brothers, Dick Norris, Mack Norris, and Berry Norris; five sisters, Eugene Sorge, Maude Champion, Mertie Cody, Erma Jenson and Vera Stevens.

She is survived by one sister, Irene Cole of Buna, Texas; twenty- three nieces and nephews; two step-daughters, Jane Prokop and Sharon Hubbard. and four step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Harvest Acres Baptist Church on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 3:00 PM with visitation before from 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM.

Rev. David Burcham will officiate.
