Margie Ruth Hasten

Mrs. Margie Ruth Hasten, age 89 of Quitman, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 in Sunnyvale, Texas. She was born on September 14, 1931 in Quitman to the late Emory Sims and Bertie Martin Sims. Margie was a retired LVN and member of First Baptist Church of Quitman. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, Wallace Hasten and daughter, Carol Haggard. She is survived by her daughters, Judy David of Terrell and Sharon Hasten of Sherman; sons, Robert Hasten of Troup and Ray Hasten of Royse City; brothers, William Sims of Quitman and sister, Jessie Starrett of Carrolton; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 9th, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Beaty Funeral Home 5320 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 at the funeral home with Rev. Fred Morrow conducting. Interment will be at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Mineola, with Tracy Bryant, Bobby Bryant, Billy Haggard, Jim Cullison, Zach Haggard, Matthew Hasten serving as pallbearers.
