Marguerite Mae Blodgett, 93, of Holly Lake Ranch, TX died on Thursday, March 13, 2014 in Mineola, TX. She was born on Saturday, February 26, 1921 in Anson, TX to the late Jess Lemuel and Annie Lee Treadwell.
She was a member of Holly Lake Church of Christ and Special Member of the Sixty Plus Family Class at The Hills Church of Christ in Fort Worth. She lived the “dash” – faithfully, trusting The Lord, and His word and telling others about Him- She loved and was amazed at the electronic age, emails, loved facetime, messaging, skyping from anywhere in the world. She was a member of the Jim Hogg Sr. DAR (Daughters of American Revelution).
She is Preceded in death by her husband; Hoyt Blodgett; three brothers; Lyndon Treadwell, Jess Jr, Treadwell and Herman Treadwell; two sisters; Ava Street and Orlena DeBusk; Son-in-law Richard E (Dick) Porter; two nephews; Billy Dwight DeBusk, and James Kent Treadwell; and granddaughter, Tammy Anne Burkhalter.
She is survived by two daughters; Cleone Porter of Holly Lake Ranch, TX, Marguerite Allen of Fort Worth, TX; brother; Kenneth Lemuel Treadwell and wife Mary; grandchildren; Todd Allen and wife Misty of Fort Worth, TX, Jim Hansen of Holly Lake Ranch, TX, Shannon Billingsley and husband Van of San Antonio, TX; great grandchildren, Emma Allen, Heather Herrera and husband Rick of San Antonio, TX, Amber Grand and husband John of Dallas, TX, Matthew Billingsley of San Antonio, TX, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Family offers their deepest appreciation to the Community Care Nursing Home and staff for the care the last three years.
