Marjorie Ruth Boozer Willis, 95 of Mineola, TX, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2023. Marjorie was born on May 25, 1928 in Mineola, Texas to William Taylor Boozer and Lillian Ethel Nichols Boozer. She was married to Franklin Willis Jr. for 74 years and 6 months where they resided in Mineola, TX. Marjorie had 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren which were the pride of her life. Marjorie held numerous jobs throughout the years. Many of her jobs were helping other people which was very important to her. Outside of work, she kept herself busy organizing the house, canning all of Junior’s garden pickings, making clothes and choir robes and crocheting thousands of pot holders.

Marjorie loved the Lord and was a member of Hainesville Baptist Church. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with all of her heart. She spent many hours reading books to all of the kids in the family. Marjorie was known to keep track of every family member, church member, friends and neighbors birthday and send cards every year. She was a caretaker to many including her parents, her in-laws and any family member who needed help.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Willis; parents, Taylor and Ethel Boozer; her brothers, Bernice Boozer, Aubrey Boozer and Curtis Boozer; her sisters, Inez Boozer and Gladys Shelton. She is survived by daughter, Linda Tileston and husband Jeff; daughter Deborah Wickert and husband Darrell; son, Harold Willis and wife Kelly; daughter, Cindy Nelson and husband Russell; 8 grandchildren, Darrell Wickert, Jr. and wife Margaret, Stephanie Hall and husband Brandon, DeAnna Nunez and husband Albert, Donna French and husband Ralph, Josh Drew and wife Kamber, Darla Wickert, Adam Nelson and Benjamin Nelson; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Wickert, Jr., Josh Drew, Adam Nelson, Benjamin Nelson, Albert Nunez, Brandon Hall, Ralph French, Aiden Nunez and Cooper Wickert.

Visitation is scheduled from 9-10 am on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Hainesville Baptist Church, 3368 FM 49, Mineola, TX. Funeral service is scheduled to follow at the church at 10:00 AM with E. K. Carter and Terry Davis officiating. A graveside service will follow the funeral at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola. In lieu of flowers, a cash donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Marjorie Willis (https://www.alzalliance.org) or a bible purchased through Gideon International (https://www.sendtheword.org).
