Martha Lou (Bryant) Black was born Oct. 7, 1945, in Mt. Vernon, TX, to Wright and Bertie Bryant. She passed into eternity on June 22, 2021. She spent most of her life living in Franklin County. In 1965 she married Donald Rose and they had four sons: Bradley, Gregory, Russell, and Kenneth. In 1990 she married Larry D. Black. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Larry D. Black, sons Brad Rose and wife Maritza, Greg Rose and wife Angela, Rusty Rose and wife Rachael, Kenny Rose and wife Adriana, and stepdaughter Misty Rogers and husband Mark, sixteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Martha graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and attended college at East Texas Baptist College and East Texas State College in Commerce. Martha enjoyed being a homemaker and looked forward to the times when all her children and grandchildren were together. Those times were filled with joy, laughter and love. Martha was a volunteer for several worthwhile organizations including Cypress Basin Hospice. She was a member of The Church of Christ meeting at Blodgett. Visitation to be held at Beaty Funeral Home of Winnsboro on Friday June 25, 2021 at 1pm with services following at 2pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to Choice Hospice 950 Main St., Sulphur Springs, TX. 75482
