Martha Garrison

Mrs. Martha Schrunk Garrison passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the age of 89. She was born on May 10, 1920 to the late Charles and Gertrude Schrunk. Mrs. Garrison married Mr. Paul Walker Garrison, Jr. in 1943 and he preceded her in death in April of 2000. She had one son, Mr. Paul Walker Garrison, III and he preceded her in death in 2006. Mrs. Garrison was a member of the First Baptist Church in Winnsboro and the national Bridge Association. She volunteered with the Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center and the local nursing homes. She was a bookkeeper for Mitchell Livestock and also at the Emory and Pittsburg Livestock Barnes. Mrs. Garrison ran a successful business, the Hilltop Shop, where she sold designer apparel and home furnishings. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Kathy Garrison and grandson, Kyle Garrison.
