Carol Marshall

Martha Caroline “Carol” Marshall, 71, of Winnsboro, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with kidney failure.

Carol was born on July 25, 1953, in Midland, Texas, to John Wilson and Dortha May Wilson. She grew up with her siblings in a warm, loving home and carried the values of faith, family, and perseverance throughout her life.

Carol embarked on a successful career as a cosmetologist, sharing her talents and passion for beauty with others. She touched many lives with her gentle spirit and welcoming personality, leaving behind countless clients who cherished her friendship.

For over a decade, Carol faced the challenge of kidney failure with remarkable strength and resilience, relying on dialysis to maintain her health. Her unwavering determination and faith during this difficult period were a testament to her character. She attended the Mineola Church of the Nazarene, where she found comfort and strength in her faith. Carol loved watching Rodeos, Gunsmoke and listening to pastor Allen Jackson preach the word.

Carol was a devoted mother and grandmother, who found immeasurable joy in her family. She leaves behind her son, Brandon Marshall and his wife, Victoria of Melissa, Texas; daughters, Heather Sumpter and her husband, Dexter of Mt. Vernon, and Sarah Jongsma and her husband, Freddy of Winnsboro; a sister, Lynn Bell of Winnsboro and her Aunt Jirldean Carta of Winnsboro.. She was adored by her eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life.

She was predeceased by her brother, Larry Wilson, whose memory she held close in her heart.

Carol's family and friends will remember her for her kindness, strength, and selflessness. She touched the lives of all who knew her, and her legacy of love, courage, and grace will live on through the generations she leaves behind.
