Martin Kent Trindel of Winnsboro passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Kent was born on January 24, 1932 in Beatrice, Nebraska to the late Martin Owen and Mildred (Tewell) Trindel. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy Frances Adams Trindel. Kent is survived by his son and granddaughter, Richard and Emma Trindel of Lima, NY. his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Alan Ostrow of Mount Laurel, NJ., two sister, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He was an Eagle Scout, a Mason for 62 years, an Accountant by profession, and an active member in the First Presbyterian Church of Winnsboro. Kent loved children and young adults, and was an avid fan and statistician for the Winnsboro Lady Raiders basketball and softball teams. His sense of humor and positive attitude was a joy to all who knew him and he will be greatly missed. His memorial service will take place on October 11, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church of Winnsboro. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Youth Program of the First Presbyterian Church of Winnsboro, or the Coach Tom Campbell Scholarship Fund at the Winnsboro High School.
