Marvin Clinton Meuir, age 68, of Lindale died February 7, 2012 in Tyler, TX. He was born in McKinney, TX on Nov. 4, 1943 to Melvin and Minnie Meuir. He was a postal carrier in Longview for 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Alysha Loree Peek.
He is survived by two daughters, Alice L. Taylor and Karyn Craig, both of Lindale, TX; two sisters, Melba Lois Chaney of Rowlette, TX and Marcia Prigmore of Garland, TX; four grandchildren, Michael Chad Meuir, Brandi Lynn Buchanan, Tabitha Jean Craig, and Zachary Kyle VanCleave; three great grandchildren, Branson David Tripp, McKenna Brooke Johnson, and Lilly Jean Johnson.
Visitation will be from 6 pm - 8pm, Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Beaty Funeral Home, Mineola. Services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at Beaty Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of East Texas.
