In Loving Memory of Mary Ellen Brown

Mary Ellen Brown, a devoted wife, homemaker, and beloved member of her family, passed away on October 4, 2026 at the age of 87.

Born on November 1, 1938 in Waycross, Georgia, Mary Ellen dedicated much of her life to creating a warm and loving home. She found great meaning in caring for the people she loved, and her home was a place where family, laughter, comfort, and togetherness could always be found.

She shared a beautiful and loving marriage with her husband, Tommy. Together, they built a life filled with companionship, devotion, and countless cherished memories. She was a talented singer and took great joy in gathering together with family and friends to sing and play music. Their family was a blended one, bringing together several children whom they loved and embraced as their own. Mary Ellen treasured the unique bonds she shared with each member of their family and took pride in the family they created together.

She was a devout Christian and faithful member of the Church of Christ in Winnsboro, Texas. She will be remembered for her loving heart, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to those closest to her. Her greatest joys were found in the simple moments of family life-gathering together, sharing stories, celebrating milestones, and making memories that will continue to live on.

Mary Ellen is survived by her beloved husband, Tommy Brown; her children, Brenda Potts, Brent Gaskin, and Laura Leigh. Her stepdaughters, Rebecca Dalba and Karen Winter-Patterson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren. many extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

She leaves behind not only memories, but also a legacy of love, family, and devotion that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation for viewing is scheduled for Thursday, October, 8 at 6:00-8:00pm. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9, at 11:00am at Lee Cemetery, Winnsboro, Texas.

Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever cherished-Mary Ellen touched the lives of all who knew her.
