Mary Alice Clayton, 84, of Quitman, Texas died on August 27, 2014. She was born on Monday, April 28, 1930 in Yantis, TX.

She was a member of The First Assembly of God in Quitman, TX. She was a Dietician for twenty five years at ETMC in Quitman, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph William and Bessie May Williams; two sisters, Joy Newlind and Winona Moody.

She is survived by her husband of sixty eight years, E.J. Clayton of Quitman, TX; son, Larry Clayton of Wood County, TX; daughter, Regina Tarrant and husband Danny of Quitman, TX; brother, J.D. Williams and wife Charlotte of Quitman, TX; sisters, Velma Johnson and husband Algea of Heath, TX and Birtie Harvey and husband Jerry of Terrell, TX; four grandchildren, Larry Clayton Jr., Melanie Eiland, Brax Tarrant and Nikki McKinney; twelve great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola from 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola, TX on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Jerry Harvey and Rev. William Moody officiating. Interment will follow at Yantis City Cemetery.
