Mary Ellen Phillips

Mary Ellen Phillips, age 69 of Bridgeport, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2010. She was born on October 25, 1940 in Pittsburg to the late Isaac and Eveleaner Culpepper Phillips. She was retired from Sears in Garland. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and I.J. Phillips; two sisters, Lillie Overstreet, and Rosie Ellison; and two grandsons; Wesley and Joseph Warren. She is survived by a son, Rodney Gatewood and wife Heather of Poolville; daughters, Donna Logan and husband Terry of Elkhart, Judy King and husband Edward of Bridgeport, Sharon Gatewood of Mesquite, Tara King and husband Wayne of Chico, Janet Ruiz and husband Oscar of Bridgeport; brother, Sonny Phillips of Sandy Creek; sisters, Bessie Willard of White Oak, Betty Holmen of Longview, Sally Roberts and Sara Phillips of Lake Tawakoni, Ruby Moss of Scroggins, Mattie Tomlin of Mt. Pleasant; fourteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
